GRINGO

Authentic Wild West Updated Gringo News!

3rd September, 2001: Some fine fellows over at Geocities have decided to start making Gringo bootlegs, seeing as how Joe and I stopped after eight comics. You can see their efforts (I actually find the fourth one quite funny) by clicking in this general area.

But what is Gringo? Well, my dear, dear friends, I'll tell you. It was a short-lived, very poor attempt of mine (I only drew it! Blame the stories on Joe!) at an internet comic. For some reason I thought that a comic set in the Wild West starring a dim-witted Sheriff, a homosexual criminal mastermind and someone called Deputy Mimosa would be the best thing in the world. Ever.

Great.

Anyway, Gringo got the swift death it deserved and was killed off nearly as soon as it began. I couldn't have stopped it any quicker, because that would have required a time machine and foresight; two things I'm never going to possess.

I thought a couple of the comics were okay, but looking back over them now I realise how crud they really were. Although I'm quite pleased the final line was "Ahhhh sweet, sweet crack pipe".

If you've really got nothing better to do with your time, then you can check out the Gringo comics (all eight of them) here.
